We are convinced that on earth exist many special and unique places. Many times, during a trip o a short holiday, we have uttered with enthusiasm: “this place is really wonderful…how nice it would be to live here!”
We have done all of this. We left behind our shoulders the confusion of big cities, the pollution and the noise and we came to live here. We only brought with us our passion, a huge store of knowledge and good or bad experience that have formed us.
The village of Bagno Vignoni will present itself – to those who wish to visit, we suggest low season period, to take a better advantage – as a bubble of silent, a rarefied atmosphere of past times. The enormous square of warm waters, the Loggiato of Santa Caterina, the rests of old mills (today Parc of Mills), will lead you to another age, far away from everyone and everything, in an almost dreamlike dimension. Walking through the roads of the village, you will have the chance to listen to your breath, your heart beating, the shuffling of your footsteps on the cobbles and you will understand of what are we talking about: many small and simple things, nowadays forgotten, will take shape also for you and will appear in front of your eyes just like a vision.
We are in Tuscany, in the most southern part of Siena province, called Valdorcia, today part of the World heritage. Around us one of the most beautiful territory that Italy can offer: San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino and, in a distance, the Amiata Mountain, that seems to protect in a hug the whole area. A constellation of highly interesting sites from an environmental, artistic and cultural point of view with Abbeys (San Galgano, Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Sant’Antimo), small enchanting villages (Monticchiello, la Rocca d’Orcia, Vignoni Alto, Radicofani) or cozy thermal center (Bagno Vignoni, San Filippo, Petriolo, San Casciano, Rapolano) will welcome you, cuddling you also with a typical gastronomy and a very refined wine production, a real excellence of the territory.
